Joseph Antony is an internationally respected engineering professional whose career spans more than three decades at the forefront of product safety, standards development, and global conformity assessment. Experienced in several product categories, different safety philosophies around the world and data exchange programs/schemes between different regions of the world. Experienced in implementing risk assessment, hazard analysis, HBSE and FS principles in product assessment.

Joseph plays a central role in international standardization, serving as Chairman of IEC TC 72 and holding leadership and liaison positions across multiple IEC and ISO committees. His work has advanced global harmonization, strengthened safety requirements, and influenced the development of the IEC 60730 series and related standards.

Joseph served as UL's Principal Engineer for automatic electrical controls providing solutions to complex technical challenges and supporting innovation using safety science.
